Like many in the community, I am delighted at the revival of the Phoenix. I very much admire and enjoy the interesting paper you are producing.
However, today I write to complain of the bias Colin Ellis has shown in reporting on the proposed historic district designation for Munjoy Hill. He interviews and quotes opponents at length, but gives little time or space to supporters of this proposal. Further, he completely fails to mention the majority support of Hill people or what their reasoning might be in getting behind the designation. What kind of journalism is that?
You can do better. If the Phoenix is to achieve any reputation for trusted journalism the editorial staff must demand a more evenhanded approach from its reporters.
